Pre-order The Agromaniac's "Inferno"

It's been a while since I've had anything to share from Subviolet's experimental electronic imprint Antistack Records, but now I'm pleased the share that The Agromaniac's new album, Inferno, will be arriving on May 26th!

YOU CAN PRE-ORDER THE RECORD HERE! When you do, you'll receive "New Crusade," the first single from the album, and then a brand new track sometime in the next few days!

While "AM" explored dark, visceral doom and "Revisionism" explored the political underpinnings of modern America, The Agromaniac's new album, "Inferno" shifts away from the lo-fi, high-concept album format to deliver track after track of carefully constructed, inventive, and relentless techno.

From the half-time screech of "New Crusade" to the straightforward dancefloor frenzy of "Methoxetamine" to the noise monstrosity "Atrophy" featuring Lunacybot, every sound is completely explored and utterly captivating. This is not the techno you know and love, but something very different.

New Music from Zero Tep and The Agromaniac

Time for another update!

Recently, I've been creating some club-oriented Zero Tep tracks again. First up is a collaboration with my good friend Noer the Boy, appropriately titled "Send Help".

Then, just a couple days ago, I dropped a bubbly/"hard-as-fuck" anti-anthem called "Plastik FM". Check it out:

Lastly, over on Subviolet's experimental electronic imprint Antistack RecordsThe Agromaniac is putting the finishing touches on his latest album, "Inferno". Full to the brim with his signature brand of plodding, grotesque ambient/industrial techno, this promises to be one of the most punishing and intriguing records of the year, expanding the palette of sounds on Antistack. Pre-orders soon...

Upcoming Releases: Spring 2015

Subviolet has just been founded and already I'm looking forward to two sharing two big releases with you. Both will be coming in March

 Psychic Sex - "You, Voyeur"

Conflicted hedonism abounds in the debut EP from Psychic Sex. Part punk, part sludge, and part dance, "You, Voyeur" is nothing but twisted lyricism and sleazy hardcore made with only a bass guitar, drum kit, and worn-out mic.

It is my plan to press a limited number of copies of "You, Voyeur" to vinyl later this year, which will include a novella to complement the record.

Out March 10th.

Zero Tep - "Vibrations, Vol. 1"

The first in a series of eclectic beat tapes, "Vibrations, Vol. 1" blazes through wonky hip-hop, soulful chiptune, and utterly destroyed bass music in record time.

Out March 27th.

While the beat tape is still being edited, you can hear a sampler of the whole thing below:

I can also confirm that industrial/ambient techno producer The Agromaniac is working on a record for Subviolet imprint Antistack Records, a Mad Atlantic retrospective will also be compiled this year, and that my long-delayed new Kabee mixtape will see release in spring/summer as well.

Thank you, friends! From now on, you can willfully ignore the eight or nine scattered destinations across the internet for my various projects, and instead find them all here!

Welcome to Subviolet Records

My name is Kaelin Bougneit and I run Subviolet Records and its experimental electronic subsidiary, Antistack Records. I am a record producer, sound artist, and musician living in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

Over the years, I've been involved in many projects, solo or group, and sought a way to combine them all under one umbrella, so Subviolet was founded: an all-genre label for both my own records and the music of friends all over the world.
